Most hunting in Germany is done in the late evening, much later than here in the US. But for normal hunting this scope is very good for North America especially for the small price tag. The adjustments are true, and have the finger grasp adjustments. The optics are not very bright, as in a Leupold VX-II, more like a VX-I, but the view is clear all around the lens as you look through it. The reticle is between a standard and thin plex, not too thin, but not thick. The matte finish makes it very suitable for closer ranges without fear of glare. The only problem is eye relief. On my .30-06 it was okay, but I wear glasses, and the relief was JUST RIGHT, but barely! And that is my only real complaint. I would not go past the '06 in the recoil department. And it is a bit heavy, unless you are going on a long range Montana stroll/hunt, this shouldn't be an issue. For the money I really think this is a rare bargain.
