This is a wonderful alternative to the expensive ar-15. My mini 14 has preformed flawless in preformance and reliabilaty. Even more reliable than my friends bushmaster has proved to be. Add to this the tons of accessories avalible for the mini 14 and it is a tough rifle to beat. If you want the ultimate short,lite and extremely reliable rifle for self defense varmint hunting or just plain old shootin fun, then this is it.
