Myself, & 7 year old son and my Dad went on this hunt. This hunt can be described as an adventure because it could have turned out to be bad but, because of the people we hunted with turned out great. Let me first say this was a 17 hour drive to get there. My son fell out of the bunk bed at midnight and had to be taken to the hospital to have stitches put in his knee. I ran over a rock in San Antonio and blew out 2 tires and damaged 2 rims. The guide got lost the first morning but other than that it was great. We were to hunt for 5 days but only hunted 3 1/2,I took my deer the first 5 minutes of the hunt a 6 1/2 year old 8 pt, My dad took his deer on the 3rd day a 4 1/2 year old 8 pt. and my son shot his deer on the 4th day, a 3 1/2 year old 14 pt. To anybody who has not hunted the Hill country, Ray Charles could kill a deer here. You will see 10 to 20 bucks per set and 3 to 6 will be shooters (3 1/2 year olds). I can't tell you how many bucks me and my son saw, probably 50 to 60 in 3 1/2 days. The hunting is a great place to take a kid.The lodging is nice with private bathrooms and the food is the best without a doubt. If you want to see a bunch of bucks, this the place.
