I've read some good and some bad reviews about this owner and his hog hunts. After hunting the ranch 20-22 Jan 2009 I have concluded that the bad reviews came from lazy hunters. This is a texas hog hunt in Mesquite flats and a big creek bottom. You have to get off your a$$ and hunt for the hogs which are all but invisible when bedded down in the mesquite and high grass. They are not tame as some have claimed and the bigger ones are very hard to stalk. Myself and one buddy had the ranch to ourselves for our hunt and both of us tagged out early and slept in the last morning. We saw hogs every time we went out. We had a blast chasing them in the creek bottom and trying to stalk in close enough for a pistol shot. There were hogs ranging from piglets to 250+. I spotted one that I estimated over 300 lbs. If we saw all those hogs with just the two of us in camp I can only imagine how many there would be if it had been booked with multiple hunters keeping the hogs up and moving. We're going back next year and looking forward to another great time.
