After returning home and transporting my horns and hide to the taxidermist, it was noted by my taxidermist, "I had the wrong Hide". After careful examination by two taxidermists agreed, bullet holes not consistent where I shot my Elk, too small of a hide for a 370 class Elk, Color in hide difference, not enough hide when mounted as an 31/2 inch base box had to be added to prevent the horns from hitting wall. The outfitter was contacted several times and failed to correct or satisfy the customer. It was clearly a hide from a smaller Elk and I spent $7,700.00 and still not happy. i would not use this outfitter to say the least.
