I went on a 2008 spring black bear hunt with Tom and Canoose Camps. During the whole time I felt in competent hands and enjoyed my stay. The accommodations are rustic. There is no electricity in camp. Light, hot showers, cooking and fridge run on propane. I liked it. The food was excellent and plentiful. We were 5 hunters in camp and 3 bears were killed. We had about 7 bear sightings in total. Tom (Mosher) will work to get you your bear, but he can/will not guarantee a kill. So is the nature of hunting. His experience in guiding hunters exceeds 30 years and he has tons of good stories and tips to share.
