This was my first ever elk hunt and myself and 7 others went with Doug bowhunting in NM September of 2004. Not only do the guides hunt with the hunter but also do all they can and it shows!Out of 8 hunters, 6 of us shot at bulls. (side note- 2 of us flew on a plane from NM back to Atlanta with Michael Waddell with Realtree. He hunted with another outfitter in NM for 5 days and did not see a bull!!!!!!) 3 were missed and 3 were recovered. Of the 3, we had a 3x5, a 5x5 and my 6x6. Not sure what it means but all guides in camp agreed that my 6x6 would go over 300 inches. Wonderful territory, great food and lodging, even if they were drop tents!Doug, Mike, Joy, Orlando, Al, and Gabe do a wonderful job with everyone and do their best to get everyone on a bull they are after! I cannot tell you enough about his place and this outfitter! He also does turkey, deer, mule deer, antelope, bear and mountain lion hunts across the US. I recommend getting a hold of him!!
