This was my 3rd trip to Bucksbeware and as always I had a great week of hunting. The rut action was a little slow with warm weather but I was still able to see Pope and Young class bucks everyday. I passed up many in the 120-130 class range and was looking for a B&C class trophy on this trip as I took a 168 class trophy last season with Tom. Tom runs a first class opearation and works hard to put you on trophy class deer. Tom is willing to work very hard to provide you with the best opportunity to harvest a trophy animal and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that everyone has a great time whether you are a single hunter looking for a hunt of a lifetime or a small group.Tom will meet your every expectationDon't waste your time in large multi operation camps in IL that treat you like a number. Tom's camp is only 8 guys and his stands are never over hunted. His strict managment policies ensure that only mature bucks are harvested and with his doe harvest numbers the herd is just about a perfect 1 to 1 ratio. If you want big deer you have to go were they live in IL and thats PIKE COUNTY!
