Hunter: Stephen Graves

Would Recommend: No

Overall Impression: poor

The outfitter advertises that he has sixty miles of road to hunt from, and that his success rate on 2 bull caribou is 92-96%. He actually uses about 10 miles of road and hunts within 1 mile of the road. He overbooks (25 guys when I was there)and after the first 2 weeks, the caribou have figured out to stay across the river in Inuit land. Out of 25 hunters, we had 3 mature bulls and about 10-12 immature bulls and cows. The group of 19 before us had about 5 mature bulls and lots of cows/immature bulls. The first 1-2 weeks would probably be OK, but the last 2-3 weeks would be a mistake.
