I had never hunted bear before, but I have now gone 2 years in a row with Black Bear Lodge in Groton, NH.Bill Barrett has been hunting bear with hounds for a long time and it shows. He knows more about bears, bear sign and hunting bears than anybody I've ever met. And hunting bear with dogs is a blast! Barretts dogs love to do their work and man can they sing. I can't imagine sitting in a tree stand being bored while watching a bait pile if I could work with dogs instead. Night and day difference.
