Used to think that Michigan was a "sleeper" state. THEY GOT BIG BUCKS!!! Outfitters was very knowledgable and friendly. Accomodations were great. Food was great. Stands were placed appropriately. HAve hunted in other states and found this guide and outfitter to be at par. Will definately be going back. Only down side was the windy conditions, which the outfitter had no control over. Overall a great hunt.

Macs brochure states if you do not see a bear you only pay your deposit "no questions asked". I hunted for all 5 days and never saw a bear. I had more bear dogs at my stand than bears. I left several messages for Mac and he only called back after he did not recognize my cell phone number. He stated I was entitled to the money but to this day I have not received a dime. I have called several times but he will not call me back. I know 3 other hunters in camp did not see any bears either. Several people felt he was overbooked with 16 hunters in camp. Email me for more details before you spend your hard earned money.

Four of us went hunting with Mac shot 3 bears one 280 pounds.We saw other bears also.Excellent accomdations in a 3 bedroom cabin. Mac has alot of active baits and knows the area real well. Had a great time and a great hunt.

I booked this hunt for my son and myself to get into some birds. Every thing they said would happen did. He doesn't own a lodge but does get good rates a local motel 1 mile away. He got us into plenty of shooting action and that is what we came for. I really enjoyed the hunt.
